A new tank farm with a capacity of 360,000 m3 and 13 tanks (Reformates, Jet A1, Diesel) was under construction to be implemented at a refinery in Turkey. Our engineering review included welding sequence, quality system and documentation, aluminium dome and material selection for an internal floating roof, internal and external coating selection, as well as fire fighting systems and replacement of flat areas that may occur during construction. The client was very happy with our advice on various design changes to the tanks which had a particular effect on the overall design.
